Fiona Mackenzie

PT, Dip. MDT
Registered Physiotherapist

Fiona’s primary approach for treating patients is the McKenzie Method® of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT®).

Fiona brings over 18 years of clinical practice to the team, with a mix of private and public sector experience. Prior to joining our clinic, Fiona worked for 16 years at Southlake Regional Health Centre.

Fiona completed her Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics at the University of Guelph in 2002. She then completed a Master of Science in Physiotherapy at Queen Margaret University College
in Edinburgh, Scotland in 2004. Fiona continued her post-graduate training and attained her Diploma in MDT® in 2015.

Since 2019, Fiona has served as a Diploma Educator for candidates completing the theoretical component of the MDT® Diploma Program. Fiona was appointed by the McKenzie Institute International to Teaching Faculty in 2021 where she teaches post-graduate courses in MDT® to
healthcare professionals nationally. Fiona continues to collaborate with the McKenzie Institute on various online and in-person educational projects.

It is not all work and no play with Fiona though. She eats chocolate nearly every day, loves dogs and is an avid sports fan. As a self-professed foodie, Fiona works hard to burn excess calories by actively engaging in basketball, running and hiking.
